ABOUT US
HISTORY
Katelman has a long, rich history in the steel industry. The founder, Julius Katelman began his foundry in 1925. At the end of WWII, the company transitioned into fabricating structural steel, and in the early 1970’s the foundry was phased out and only structural, reinforcing and miscellaneous steel was fabricated. In 2005, Katelman Foundry transferred ownership and changed its name to Katelman Steel Fabrication, Inc.
From the beginning, we have been expanding the company by investing in our employees, facility, and equipment. We are thankful for a community that has supported us for 92 years. We have show our support for the community through philanthropic events and charitable donations. We also strive to show our appreciation to our employees for their hard work and dedication.
KATELMAN'S FACILITY
We continually upgrade our facilities to allow for increased production. New, state of the art equipment has been brought in to meet demand and decrease project costs. We operate on 4.5 acres with our shop spanning 77,000 square feet. Our overhead cranes transfer material from entry to exit. A separate JIB-crane system delivers material to each workstation optimizing efficiency. Our facility contains a beamline, anglemaster, plasma table, cambering machine, pipe bender, saws, paint bay, and other miscellaneous equipment.
